  • advances research on contemporary education and culture topics
  • promotes network and cooperation across Europe and beyond

MUS-E CYPRUS IS PART OF THE MUS-E® NETWORK ESTABLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL YEHUDI MENUHIN FOUNDATION IN BRUSSELS.

MUS-E® NETWORK
WHO WAS YEHUDI MENUHIN?
The MUS-E® Network was initiated by Lord Menuhin.
MUS-E® is a vibrant, effective and successful network that has been operating for 30 years and is continuously expanding in additional areas.
Each MUS-E builds on the validated practices of thousands of artists and teachers......read more

To understand Mus-e we need to go back in time to the dream of a violinist:  Yehudi Menuhin.
The Yehudi Menuhin Foundation was founded in Brussels in 1991, answering his desire for peace and his love for children and art. Year after year, dozens of Mus-e venues flourished all over Europe. Yehudi Menuhin's dream has great ambitions and a single wish: to bring art into primary schools and kindergartens, helping children to discover beauty in others and within themselves....read more

OUR VALUES
SOCIAL INTENT

We are committed to pay attention to schools in rural areas and with greater social contrasts and cultural diversity.

All MUS-E workshops are free of charge for schools and parents.
CHILDREN, CITIZENS OF TOMORROW

We believe essential to start with children to create new generations able to live in harmony with each other, beyond culture, origin, disability and any difference
ART AS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

We believe that the language of art, more than any other, can help us along this path towards the future. For this reason, we choose the most qualified artists to entrust them with the most precious treasure we have: children.
THE ROLE OF ARTISTS

Artists need to be connected to education. The gift they bring to society needs to be shared and used in any educational setting.
EDUCATION  IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM

The arts deliver precisely the kind of thinking and working skills needed in the workplace of the new millennium: imagination and creativity, experimentation, teamwork, technological competences, flexible thinking, appreciation for diversity, self-discipline, persistence and taking initiative.
NATURE-BASED LEARNING

Essential element in our research, training and art products is the green education component that is included as a stan-alone subject in the creation of works of art, or transversally within our activities.
RESPECTING DIFFERENCES

The reasons why a child can be excluded are many: cultural origin, linguistic difficulty, disability, even the colour of the skin. Mus-e believes in inclusion to build fairer societies, in which differences are not obstacles but as a source of wealth.
THE VALUE OF THE NETWORK

We believe in continuous comparison as engine for improvement. This is why we are part of the European network of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, along with MUS-E of other 11 countries. Together, we envision a Europe of peace and beauty.
TRASPARENCY

We are an open book: all the classes in which the Mus-e project will be present, and the budget, will be published on the site, to always let you know how your donations are used.
